Pros: Good code. Nice benefits. The skill level of people working there is pretty high, I must say. There is free food available all the time.

Cons: Too much work. They make you work like donkeys. If you're in a team like Global Trading, your life will be hell.

Pros: Good code. Nice benefits. The skill level of people working there is pretty high, I must say. There is free food available all the time.

Cons: Too much work. They make you work like donkeys. If you're in a team like Global Trading, your life will be hell.

Cons: The technology stack is often as old as Methuselah, except for very few groups. Too many inexperienced managers, who have worked nowhere else but Bloomberg, lead to a massively insular culture with respect to the best of breed in technology. Going there as a senior engineer could seriously stall your technical growth.

Pros: Bloomberg is full of opportunities for people to learn about a variety of fields. The fact that Bloomberg's main business is finance allows you to learn about it, if you have an interest, which I found incredibly valuable. Also, given the many Bloomberg verticals, there are tons of opportunities for mobility within the company, which are also great learning opportunities.

Cons: Be sure to pick the right team. As in any big company, there are lots of good people, but there are also some teams which you want to avoid. Make sure to pick well.
