Process
I submitted my resume at an on-campus career fair and received a call several days later to schedule an on-campus interview for the next morning. I spoke with six recruiters the following day. After about five days, I received the offer.
Questions
Not many, mostly technical questions focusing on coding.
There were two or three behavioral questions, such as why Bloomberg and what's most important to you other than money.
I use Java, though Bloomberg mostly uses C++.

Pros: The benefits and the location were better than most companies. I think it beats higher salaries with less benefits.
The workplace will keep you updated on the markets just by being there.
Cons: The compensation is okay, although the benefits outweigh it. Employees in the finance department should be paid more on commission than salary.

If you're on the right team, Bloomberg can be very rewarding

Pros: If you land on the right team, there is a lot of flexibility and great work-life balance. Fortunately, the percentage of the "good" teams is growing steadily, especially within the Derivatives and Infrastructure departments of R&D.
There are a lot of opportunities to grow professionally, but you need to forge your own path.
Very intelligent colleagues, great ideas.
Free snacks and drinks/juice all day, every day.
Excellent compensation and benefits.
Cons: A lot of red tape (as with many large and successful corporations), meaning that great ideas need a lot of persistence to really take off, or else they will be swept aside for the next money grab enhancement.
Some old technologies and implementations are so established that they're tough to supplant with smarter/faster/newer ones.
Open floorplan. While it fosters collaboration, concentration is very easily broken.

Pros: * Fast-paced
* Opportunities for those who are prepared to seek it
* Diverse organization – you get the chance to move around
Cons: Bloomberg is a very diverse organization with a very loosely defined management structure, so pretty much everything differs among the various teams. I would say that I am lucky to be working in a team with whom I get along really well. My advice would be that you should choose your team carefully when joining Bloomberg.
