Pros: Great WLB in most of the teams. Good company culture.

Cons: The technologies to work on are not very interesting. Company management is very old school.

Pros: Great Pay, Highly Skilled Co-workers

Cons: Work from home about 2 days a week.

Pros: - Good talent to learn from; mentoring is important here. - Learning engineering, financial, and leadership skills is actively encouraged, and Bloomberg provides training resources and classes. - Positive place to work. - Great to know that so much of our profit goes towards philanthropic endeavors, prioritizing D&I. - A true 9-to-5 workday; anything else you put in is up to you (might be team/group-specific, but I haven't heard anything different).

Cons: Everything that follows is based on working on the Terminal, but there are many other roles in the company where this does not apply (most web-based teams). * The Terminal does not use open-source technology and is stuck with a lot of proprietary technologies that could be improved upon. * It can be a bit of turning the Titanic around when it comes to serious technological improvements. * Clients are set in their ways (have been using it for 30+ years), which makes decisionmakers resistant to change.
