I had one round of HR interview and one round of HackerRank online interview.
I was rejected after the HackerRank session.
Interestingly, I solved the given problem without any issue, bug-free with various test cases, and within the accepted time complexity. I heard that people who are unable to solve two problems are rejected. However, I was not given the second problem!
There was still a lot of time left, and I was never given the second problem. The interviewer asked me to write a lot more test cases to waste time (while I knew my solution was definitely bug-free). When there were 20 minutes left, he asked if I had any questions, so the last 20 minutes were spent chatting.
If you don't want to hire people, don't post a job description.
If you have any other concerns, you should at least provide feedback earlier. At least I don't feel I did anything wrong in the technical round but was still rejected.
Classical DFS problem + resume chat.
