I was incredibly disappointed by this entire process, not because of the individual steps, but because of Bloomberg's failure to properly filter their applicants.
I disclosed on my initial application that I had a potential HR-related conflict, but I was still moved forward through all rounds of interviews where I was reassured twice that my potential conflict "shouldn't be a problem at all."
After my final interview, two weeks went by without an update, even after I reached out twice via email. I was finally contacted and told that they would not be able to extend an offer to me due to my conflict.
I reached out afterwards for clarification and received nothing in response. If this was such a deal-breaker, I'm not sure why I was selected to interview in the first place, and why this company's HR department didn't flag me at any point during the process.
This oversight, combined with a severe lack of communication throughout the interview process, made my experience disappointing, frustrating, and quite frankly, a waste of my time.
