Process

I applied online for a new graduate role and received an email from a recruiter. We then scheduled a phone screen interview.

During the phone screen, the interviewer asked me two technical questions. I was supposed to write code on Codepair. Both questions were LeetCode medium difficulty.

After three days, I received another email from the recruiter stating I would have on-site interviews at their New York office.

On the day of the on-site interviews, I had four sessions:

  • The first two rounds were pure technical interviews, each lasting one hour. Each round had two to three interviewers, and I was asked two questions per interview. I was expected to write code on a whiteboard. The interviewers were very nice people.
  • Following the technical rounds, I had a one-on-one conversation with HR, where she asked mostly behavioral questions.
  • The final round was with a manager. He asked one coding question, discussed my resume, and even showed me the Bloomberg Terminal. :)

Just two days later, I received a call from the recruiter with an offer. The entire process was very smooth and fast. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but I had to decline the offer.
