Bloomberg is a great place to gain independence and make decisions. Even interns were given very useful work and were encouraged to try new things and make their own decisions. So Bloomberg really trusts its employees, which allows them to grow.
One downside of working at Bloomberg is that it is primarily a financial software company. There are several other things, like web and legal, you can develop for, but apart from that, it's mostly financial. It wasn't a downside for me, though, because I really enjoy financial software development.
Keep doing what you're doing. You're doing a great job of training your employees and keeping them motivated and important to the workplace!
