- Lack of levels in Engineering.
- Lack of transparency in ratings.
- No Engineering IC track to follow; to move up, you have to become a TL (People Manager).
- Lack of PIP results in many coasters who do the bare minimum.
- Beyond 5-7 years of experience, you can probably make more money at FAANG (with potentially less stability/WLB).
- Pay senior engineers who have spent many years at BBG better.
- Introduce levels for engineers so that promotions can incentivize performance.
- Make ratings transparent.
