Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

There was an HR person that called a week before the interview (Saturday) on the phone. There were two people doing the interview.

Questions

The most important questions were about programming and software engineering. What software life cycle models have you used? What experience do you have with software development? What programming languages have you used, and what projects have you worked on? Do you have experience with Unix? If so, what shells?

And then, there are the basic interviewing questions like, "Tell me about a time where there were issues with a project and how did you handle them."

I had another interview with Boeing for another Software Engineering position, and this one was tougher. One of the interviewers was very focused on technical questions and dove deeper into the answers I was giving. So, make sure to review the different projects and experiences you've had because if you mention them, make sure you can answer any follow-up questions they might have.
