Good benefits. An easy place to sit around and earn a paycheck without really contributing too much. The "Learning Together" program that provides the capability to further education is awesome. If you make a mistake, well, you'll get another chance almost guaranteed.
Not challenging. Management is poor at best and flat out lies to its employees. It's difficult to move up if under the age of 40. There are a ton of incompetent people who hold senior engineering and management positions. Inept people are put to the side instead of removed. It is a good old boys club that rewards its own and takes care of them. Directors commonly encourage the lower-level managers to play political games instead of solving problems.
There are double standards about how people are treated. People routinely ignore you when they don't like the answers they hear.
Tell the truth. Promote based upon proven accomplishments and stop playing games.
I followed the STAR process, which is standard for a lot of interviews. Most of the time, it turned into a discussion about professional experiences instead of a pure STAR format.
Though it was pre-recorded, there was one behavioral question, one coding question, and one recording of you explaining your solution. The question was impossible, and I later looked it up to see it wasn’t actually solvable.
Gave my resume at a career fair. Hiring Manager reached out to me for a phone call. Recorded Hirevue coding challenge + behavioral question. Technical interview with shared online editor.
