Advice to Management

Do you really want to focus on an inspiring second century for the Boeing Company? It's time to act like you mean it.

Take a first principles approach and reassess what our business does, what we plan to do, and how we plan to do it. How does your management plan align with those values? Start with 'Why.'

There are some incredible people and incredible organizations at this company; use their model as inspiration. Take a hard look at your management tree and assess who is performing and who isn't.

The hardest part of your job is going to be inspiring a cultural change and flushing out the flack. Boeing has an incredible history, but we will eventually tarnish it by burning early career folks with a horrible taste of laziness, lack of inspiration, distrust, and mediocrity.
