I think the best reason to work at Boeing is because of the projects that you can contribute to.
The benefits are pretty good, and the pay is up there with other large companies if you produce.
I see younger engineers moving up as their desire and talents warrant. There isn't as much of the 'ol boys network' at Boeing anymore. Most of them have retired.
It's a big company, but you still can have a significant impact once you get established and gain credibility.
Occasionally, you'll run across a manager who thinks he's God's gift to mankind and won't listen to anyone because he's God, and nobody else knows anything more than he does.
There seems to be too much "management by MBA" and too much "nice guy" management.
Sometimes somebody just needs to be shown the door because they don't fit in (not enough motivation), but it doesn't happen. They end up working somewhere else in the company.
Keep increasing the pay of senior engineering folks to keep them motivated. Sometimes it seems easy to say they've been here for X years and aren't going anywhere, but that increase keeps them motivated and out of retirement dream mode. If they don't think they're going to get a raise, they might think, "Why bother...?"
A recruiter calls for a schedule. They describe the process and later ask for your schedule. It includes three rounds: 1. Coding and technical 2. Design 3. Leadership discussion As per the booklet, the third round is the most difficult. Out of
I wasted my full days. I spent more than an hour for the technical interview. Two panels interviewed me for more than an hour, simply to pass the time. They rejected me, though I gave my answers very well. They are wasting our time because they want
Boeing used HireVue as part of the first rounds of interviews. We needed to complete a coding challenge and answer two questions to the camera, with three tries given for each question.
