Very good benefits. There are lots of different job types and the ability to learn various aspects about other jobs. There are tons of opportunities if you'll get out of your shell and push for change.
Part of the benefits package includes:
In the end, there are lots of perks, but there is room for just about everyone in this huge company.
The company is so large that it is very easy to feel like you're lost in a sea of people and that your efforts go unnoticed. You need to learn how to "toot your own horn" in a constructive way. You'll only get as far as you're willing to push yourself.
Get involved with your line workers.
You can't really make the great decisions that are needed unless you know what is really happening by being engaged with your line workers.
Remove the roadblocks to innovation and reward those who are making a difference.
Hold yourself and your workers accountable to a clear vision and realistic expectations.
Learn to be a good leader, not just a manager.
The hiring process was as simple as it can get. HR contacted me by phone, asking for an available one-hour time slot for an interview. After I gave them an available time slot, they confirmed it by email with a description of the interview process.
This was for an entry-level role. STAR format, 5 questions. I was asked about experience and difficult/pressure situations. Besides the 5 STAR questions, a couple of yes/no questions were asked, e.g., "Have you ever used tool X?"
The interview process is quick and easy. It is mainly behavioral and about how well you fit in the team. The maximum time is an hour, and the average time for the interview is 30 minutes.
