The interview process consisted of a HR discussion, two coding interviews, and one final system design interview.
The coding interviews were easy to medium, with follow-up questions. The questions asked were small variations of popular questions found on platforms like LeetCode.
There was an introduction with general software development questions, followed by the coding portion of the interview. This part was standard and went well. The engineers I spoke with were respectful and answered any questions I had.
The system design interview was a complete failure. The interviewer, a manager, either refused to answer my clarification questions or provided vague responses. I believe half the allocated time was wasted on this.
To continue, the interviewer expected me to write my solution directly in a Google Doc, rather than sketching it out. I have never regretted going through an interview more. I would have felt better if I had actually failed.
This company is a fake, a FAANG wannabe. My advice: don't waste your time applying. You could double your LeetCode efforts and have a high chance of getting into real top companies.
