The interview process was very smooth and well-paced. The interactions with the recruiters and interviewers were very friendly and organic. They were very cooperative and helpful throughout the entire interview process. The slot booking method was very good, and they also provided the right resources for preparation.

The interview was mostly about learning about your thinking and approach towards a problem. How do you come up with handling a problem related to scale? Are you able to modularize your components?

There were three rounds:

1. Round one was a simple Java-based question, not much about algorithms or data structures. It was more about coming up with the right states as Enums, designing the right processing flow, and handling edge cases.

2. This was a system design round about developing some component which may be used in Booking.com. It was more about handling large scales, retries, failures, and external system integration.

3. The third round was a cultural fit round to evaluate how you handle pressure, failure, and teamwork.
