I submitted a HackerRank test with no communication to HR. The next day, I received an email stating they wanted to conduct an HR interview because my test went very well (which I already knew). I picked a slot, but then there was no further communication or confirmation for the interview.
The following week, I sent another email to HR, but still received no reply. After two weeks and a few more days, I sent one last email for a status update. HR replied that due to illness, there had been no reply, and they proposed conducting the interview, asking me to pick a slot.
I had a very cold interview. The HR representative was yawning throughout and showed no interest in anything I had to say. In the end, they simply stated they would discuss my case with the hiring committee.
Perhaps I had a career gap that resulted in this, but if that were the case, why would they waste my time like this? The worst part is that they didn’t even mention my test throughout the process, so I am not sure if HR was even aware that I had submitted a test.
I wish I had gotten to that part at least.
