I had a first interview to talk about the company and understand the salary and benefits. The next step was a pair programming session with two Brex engineers. The first interviewer was very receptive, but the other two were a bit quiet. When I was developing my solution, I tried to interact with them, but without success. I asked about my solution, and they always said, "It is okay, go ahead."
In my case, I completed the challenge and received a "No" to proceed. I believe we could receive feedback. It doesn't take much time to do so and can be helpful. A simple email saying, "You need to improve your code style," or "The solution had high Big O complexity," and so on, would be valuable.
I can't add the concrete one here, but it wasn't a classic FAANG question.
