Embedded Software Engineer Interview Experience - United Kingdom

Process

I applied this March, and it took me less than 3 weeks to get an interview.

As I applied for an embedded software engineer position, the background questions were asked first. Then, there were some questions about projects on my CV. Because the interviewer was familiar with one of these projects, they asked many questions.

Following that, questions about hardware and software were asked, which were quite specialized.

Questions

The most unexpected question is whether a read-only variable, defined by 'const', will be allocated memory during compilation.
