I received a phone call inviting me for an interview.
The office looked great, and the people were nice.
It was a 1:1 interview where I was asked basic logic design questions and personal questions.
I was asked about:
- Projects I have done
- Courses taken
- General interest
Questions
Plan a logical design that achieves a single read/write bit every clock cycle, and a number.
The design should store the histogram of the written input and display it on a read command.

Pros: Broadcom is up and coming and has a strong pull in many different fields, therefore it is better able to manage during a recession than many other companies.
The employees are hardworking and very motivated.
Communication moves quickly with constant emails throughout.
There is a heavy workload and weak communication between groups.
Broadcom is up and coming and has a strong pull in many different fields, therefore it is better able to manage during a recession than many other companies.

Communication moves quickly with constant emails throughout to keep the engineers more organized.
Cons: Heavy workload and weak communication between groups. Broadcom is up and coming and has a strong pull in many different fields, therefore it is better able to manage during a recession than many other companies. Keep the engineers more organized. I like the environment, but the dress code is loose, which I personally don't like. However, that may be a plus for other people. But not too many negatives. Although I don't like the fact that they waste money just like other companies. Yes!

Pros: Free drinks, juice, soda, tea, coffee, etc., but no alcohol.
Food in the cafeteria is fairly inexpensive.
Everyone I worked with had a very high level of expertise.
Communication was pretty open.
Almost everyone in the group was very helpful to me as an intern.
The company works on cutting-edge stuff, and the work is challenging and fun.
Cons: My pay as an intern was on the low side, $20.50/hour plus 1.5X for overtime. This was the summer after I finished college, right before starting grad school.
It is sometimes a pain to do a teleconference with other engineers working in Irvine, CA.
