Senior Staff Hardware Engineer Interview Experience - Sunnyvale, California
Process
I had two phone interviews, each lasting about an hour, with the initial hiring manager and a co-worker.
After which, I was invited to a day of on-site interviews with about six other team members and managers.
The interview was approximately 50% technical and 40% company information.
The technical portions were not too difficult; interviewers focused more on your thought process than a specific "right" answer.
The hiring process was excellent. Offers and benefits were clearly communicated in a timely manner.
Ample time was given to make a decision, and scheduling the start date was very comfortable.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
It's a tough question to answer, especially if you're changing roles to some degree or entering a new company. It's hard to know the culture and how you'll fit in.
Will you want to pursue a managerial role or an individual contributor? How will you want to expand your skill set and advance?
