I found the position on Indeed, Dice, or LinkedIn. I created an account and submitted my resume through Broadcom's career web page. A week later, HR contacted me to set up a phone interview.
Questions
No technical questions at all. I was surprised that the lady manager kept asking me why I did not get promoted at my then position.

Pros: I have been working at Avago-Brcm for over 10 years. The salary and benefits are good, as are the RSUs. The working environment is good, and the colleagues are good.
Cons: Lack of training, retrenchment is common. I have experienced a large scale of retrenchment; about 50% of the whole department was asked to leave on the same day.
