HR reached out expressing interest and stating that my profile is a 100% match for the role. After I expressed my interest as well, HR stated that she would schedule the next round of interviews.
After a week of reaching out for the next steps, I got a standard rejection email without any update or feedback.
My suggestion for the company is: If you are telling someone you are moving on to the next rounds and then canceling, at least have the courtesy of letting them know what happened.
