The interview I was set for was just an introduction. It was a pleasant conversation, where I was told I would be given a home task assignment.
An assignment was a ready system (client + server), containing tests, which I needed to fulfill with front-end logic to make the tests pass. No third-party libraries, frameworks, or tools were allowed. Still, I was strongly advised (almost required) to use file splitting, dependency injection, OOP, and generally good architecture. It was assumed that it would take up to five hours to solve.
I submitted the task within that timeframe and waited for feedback for six weeks!
The feedback I received contained five sentences. An interesting fact: the task was changed four weeks after my submission, and the "carefully reviewed solution" obviously did not pass the tests (since the interfaces were changed).
Totally unprofessional and impolite. I definitely would not recommend or apply again.
Solve an assignment.
