After applying for the Canva Graduate Software Engineering (Australia and New Zealand) position, I received an offer for a coding challenge after the application deadline.

I was given 120 minutes to complete the challenge. There were two options:

• One for frontend (in JavaScript)
• The other for backend (in Java)

I chose the backend challenge due to my greater expertise in that area and with Java. I have almost a week to prepare for the challenge and am currently working on it.

Please note that if HackerRank gives you the error “Terminated due to timeout”, this indicates your algorithm may be correct but not optimal and is being canceled for taking too long.
