Software Developer Interview Experience - Cologne, Germany

Process

It was a relatively casual conversation at the Cologne branch with the manager from Düsseldorf and a developer.

The conversation was relatively casual, and I was initially able to talk about myself and my career path, including my studies. There were a few questions in between.

I was explained the career plan in relative detail (I already knew this from expedITion Summer at the Capgemini Campus "Serge Kampf Les Fontaines").

At the end, there was a question as to whether I considered myself a good developer.

Afterwards, I was given the opportunity to ask any remaining questions.

During the expedITion Summer, I got the impression that travel is only necessary at the beginning and end of a project (max. 10-20%).

Fortunately, the manager honestly said that it can be the case depending on the project, but no guarantee can be given.

It was clear to both me and the manager that it was not the right job/employer for me.
