Process

I gave my interview in January 2016 and got through ABC Institute. There were a total of 3 rounds.

  1. A written test at ABC, which consisted of technical questions on Java.
  2. An online ICompass test held at the Capgemini office. It consisted of 50 questions, including two modules: one on mathematical and verbal aptitude, and the second module based on core Java, Spring, and Hibernate. Only 29 students were shortlisted out of 120.
  3. The third round was a face-to-face technical interview. Finally, 13 were recruited out of a crowd of 500.
  4. Document verification. They rolled out an offer letter immediately after verifying my documents.

Questions

If you are confident about Java, the technical round must be too easy for you to clear. They asked all basic questions on Java:

  1. Explain OOPS concepts.
  2. Take a real-time example and write a program on each of the OOPS concepts.
  3. Asked a few questions on all the skills that I had mentioned in my resume. So, make sure you know at least the basics about the skill set mentioned in your resume.
  4. What are serialization and deserialization?
  5. Multithreading concepts.
  6. Exceptions.
  7. Collections.
  8. A few basic questions on JSP (about tags and how to connect it to a server).
