I applied for the position of Software Engineer online through their portal and received a telephone interview within the next two weeks. They asked me about my experiences and seemed quite happy. Then, they invited me for a face-to-face interview at their office in Cologne.
It was a 1.5-hour interview with a panel of two people. They primarily asked me about my experiences and how I handled various responsibilities in my work. The last 15 minutes were dedicated to testing my German language fluency, during which I was unable to understand a question.
At the end, they gave me feedback: my experiences didn't match their requirements, and I needed more experience in technology. They also stated my German fluency was not good (I was at B1 level, and they needed B2 level).
What are design patterns? How do you do testing? etc. The questions completely depend on your experience and will differ from person to person. All their questions were more theoretical.
