Pros

Capgemini allows its employees to experiment and try different roles. I found it a great place to learn new skills and improve my personal capabilities.

Cons

The organization is matrixed, and decision-making frameworks/authority is extremely unclear. Key decisions happen in France, and it is difficult for senior management to have meaningful impact if you are based outside the HQ in Paris. Career management at Capgemini is very tricky as well, since you or your boss have limited input into the promotion process.

I came into the company through an acquisition, and it takes a long time to start feeling like an integrated part of the organization.

Advice to Management

Simplify the organization structure and allow greater decision-making in the markets.
