Cons

After 19 years, I’ve seen lots of change, but never as much as the last 3 years. There’s a general sense that people don’t matter anymore. No matter what people are made to deal with, the answer is always that “It’s come from group,” which is the Capgemini way of saying the decision has been made and nobody challenges upwards.

There’s been a big loss of transparency and trust, too. Change is often presented as being for the employees, based on their feedback. Yet, no-one is able to find a single colleague who wants the changes and directives to come.

It basically feels like Capgemini no longer trusts employees, and employees no longer trust Capgemini.

Advice to Management

Recognize that you employed some of the most intelligent people in the world, and that it doesn’t require much of that intellect to see what’s happening.
