I applied online and was then contacted by a recruiter. After the first screening, the hiring manager called me. It was an interesting experience for me, as I had applied solely due to the job title. However, as he described the role, I realized it was a developer position.
I politely told him that I am already a manager and not interested in a developer role. Despite this, he continued to ask technical questions, and I chose to avoid answering.
I received an email a few days later stating that I was not technically fit for the job. I currently manage an agile team, and he attempted to explain agile methodologies to me. I wonder how people ask me basic questions like the difference between an array and a list.
