The interview process is long, intense, and weird.
I interviewed with the hiring manager first, which was a very nice introduction to the position and expectations.
Next, I moved to the "Power Day" interview process. This involves meeting with four people who will likely work on the same team. They provide two days from which to choose your interview times. I do not recommend scheduling all interviews on the same day, as each is important for securing a job offer. In my case, I broke it into two days.
Case Interview: (Difficult)
They presented an App Testing case where I needed to break down software/app releases throughout an entire year and calculate the budget for a testing scenario. I did not perform well because the interviewer guided me extensively, and I was confused for the initial portion. The case was broken into four parts, and I only completed two due to time constraints within the one-hour session.
Behavioral Interview:
This interview was fine. The interviewer asked me to describe my experience in three areas. Please ensure you prepare your answers using the STAR method.
First Job Fit Interview:
This one was unusual, as the interviewer did not ask technical questions about the role but instead posed more open-ended questions.
Second Job Fit Interview:
This interview was more technical, testing my knowledge of the role and the information I had listed on my resume.
I recommend preparing for the case interview and the behavioral interview, as these can significantly impact their decision to offer you the job.
For the job fit interviews, ensure you can speak about and provide real examples for everything you've included on your resume.
