Abstract Work, Too Many Meetings
Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee
McLean, Virginia, United States
June 24, 2021
Pros: Breadth of experiences - can bounce around from department to department.
Cons: Everything is so abstracted. If you get a chance to work on a smaller project where you can build things from scratch end to end, then it's a good experience. Otherwise, you will just be working on very small components.
Also, most of your days will be full of agile meetings.

Cons: The performance review system is a popularity contest that incentivizes behavior that wouldn't make sense in any other regime.
