I was contacted by a recruiter.
This was followed by a 70-minute, proctored, online coding challenge via Code Signal.
This was then followed by a 4-hour gauntlet of online, virtual interviews with various employees. This included a coding challenge, two case studies, and a behavioral interview.
Oddly enough, the members of Capital One leadership I met during the interview seemed completely unfamiliar with their company's own hiring process.
Following the 4-hour interview, I was rejected a few days later. The recruiter adamantly refused to give ANY feedback, citing company policy and some vague, non-specific regulations. Not even so much as a "you did poorly on X section" or "you failed to demonstrate Y skill."
This was followed up with an additional slap in the face: a suggestion that in six months I could re-apply and spend another day of PTO and 4+ more hours to go through the dog-and-pony show. Again, they adamantly refused to give any sort of hint or indication as to what I could do to achieve a more favorable result.
Disgusting lack of respect and professional courtesy towards job candidates.
