The process was much more relaxed than I was expecting. I was applying to work during the summer at the Research Park at UIUC, and my interviewer was very welcoming. I was very excited to begin working there.

During the first interview, he asked some basic questions; nothing too hard. There was time at the end for my questions, and after the interview, he seemed enthusiastic. I received an invitation two days later for a second interview.

During the second interview, I met with the same person. He offered me water and showed me around the place a little bit. He made sure to point out that the walls were painted with whiteboard paint so you could draw directly on them, even though they were colored.

Essentially, the entire interview consisted of me asking questions, which I was not expecting at all. At one point, he said he was looking for people who are inquisitive and ask good questions that matter. Forty-five minutes after the interview, I received an offer to work for the company during the summer.
