Process

I applied in early August and was told that I would be pipelined directly to the final round. The final interview took place a month and a half after my application. The final went really well – it consisted of technical, behavioral, and a case screen (think business-oriented OOD).

More specifically:

  • The technical portion involved understanding and designing a data structure.
  • The behavioral questions were STAR-based.
  • The case study included business questions and an OOP-based design.

My interviewers were pretty great, but for the case study, the interviewer required me to use Python, a language I don't know. He was aware that I had never used Python in my life (I told him immediately) but still required it. I'm happy to say that it turns out I'm a beast, as I learned enough Python on the fly to solve the case study question. However, I guess he was really hoping I had lied on my resume and was actually a Python talent, because I was rejected two days after the final. Oops.
