You get to work on features that actually lead to people getting jobs quicker and help justice impacted individuals get employment. Coworkers are genuinely nice and respectful. Checkr hires kind and intelligent people!
Heavy focus on moving fast and Product pushes engineers to meet deadlines that are sometimes not reasonable. It leads to long hours and too much stress. Working as a junior and then a mid level engineer for Checkr, I find myself working longer and longer hours — often more than 50-60 hours a week. Depending upon what team you’re on, on-call shifts can be really stressful and you can get paged a lot throughout the nights and weekends.
