Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Jose, California

Process

I had 10 hours of interviews, with 5 hours each. The questions were not difficult and covered areas of data structures, OS fundamentals, and C programming. I interviewed for a Development Engineer role, and it was a 1:1 type interview, where each interviewer spent 1 hour with me.

They started asking C-programming questions within the second minute. All the interviewers were really nice and friendly, except for one person who acted very weird. He showed attitude, as if Cisco was standing just because of him, worked on his laptop, replied to emails, and said things like, "Shoot," and "Come on." I did not have the mood to answer him.

Questions

The hiring manager, sitting next to me, asked me to write a C program on his laptop, which I did not expect.
