I saw the position on the Cisco career website. I submitted my resume and filled out the forms.
A couple of weeks later, I received a phone interview, and then I scheduled an on-site interview for next week.
It was a technical interview, and I did a lot of whiteboard coding. The questions were not difficult (like reversing a linked list), but the manager paid a lot of attention to the details. For example, how I optimized a couple of statements and what variable naming scheme I used.
Overall, it was not a tough interview. I think I am qualified for the position, but I am not the type of developer the manager is looking for.
