This was for a Grade 6 Software Engineer - SRE role and involved 4 rounds in total.

Round 1: HackerRank Programming Challenge This round consisted of 2 coding questions of medium difficulty.

Round 2: Python Microservices This round focused mainly on knowledge of microservices in Python. I was asked to code a rate-limiter using Flask. The interviewer was very good and polite, assisting me at each step. Despite my limited experience with Flask, I was able to get through this round thanks to their help.

Round 3: Troubleshooting, Docker, Linux Fundamentals This round focused on troubleshooting skills, Linux networking fundamentals, and Dockerfiles. I was asked questions on file permissions, user groups, and CPU/memory. I then had to write a Dockerfile to containerize a Flask application and troubleshoot a dying container using logs. The interviewer was very helpful, allowing me to use Google for specific commands and syntax when needed. This was very engaging and truly tested SRE and troubleshooting skills.

Round 4: Hiring Manager Round This round focused on my projects and work in my current organization. We discussed ideal deployment strategies in multi-cloud environments, designed a CI/CD for a cloud-agnostic setup, and covered synthetics, monitoring, and observability best practices. The Hiring Manager was very kind and kept the conversation engaging. They then explained the current role and expectations.

Overall, the experience was very good, and I found the interviewers very helpful.
