The interview process began with me finding one of the requirements matching my profile. Initially, I had a friend refer me. Once my resume was shortlisted, I received a call from HR for a telephonic interview.
The telephonic interview was quite easy. The interviewer asked me to explain what I did in my previous company. On top of that, he asked me to explain the usage of "volatile" in C.
After that, I was asked to go to their campus for face-to-face interviews.
I had four rounds of face-to-face interviews.
In the first round, I was asked to explain my role in my previous company and was asked a few questions based on that. Later, there were a few pointer questions and the "volatile" question again. This round went on for half an hour.
In the second round, all Operating Systems concepts, RTOS, and priority inversions were asked. All kinds of linked list questions were posed, including programming to reverse a list, add a node to a list, delete a node from a list, add a node to the list given a pointer to some node, find the meeting point of two linked lists, detect a loop in a list, and multiply a number by 8 without an arithmetic operator. The interviewer also asked me one puzzle at the end. This round went on for an hour.
In the third round, they questioned me by reading my resume and asked about college projects. Then, they asked questions on pointers, constant pointers, and strings. Following that, there were questions on bitwise operators, interrupts, signals, signal handling, semaphores, and mutexes. This round also went on for an hour.
In the fourth round, the interviewer asked me about the flat memory model. This round went on for 20 minutes.
Almost everything was expected.
