I received the interview call through a referral from my friend who works there. The call was immediate; if I recall correctly, it was the day after I submitted my resume.

I was in contact with the hiring manager from the start. I received an initial overview of the team and the product I would be working on if offered the job. After the hiring manager was convinced I would accept the job if I passed the interviews, I was called for interviews the next day.

Day 1 of the interviews: I had to go through 5 rounds of 1:1 interviews, each lasting about an hour. These were mainly technical interviews, covering my previous work experience, the skills required for the job, and the basics of my engineering degree.

Day 2 of the interviews: I had 3 rounds of phone interviews, again, each lasting about an hour. These also included technical questions and some tests involving the skills for the job.

After day 2, I felt confident I would get through. As expected, I received the offer within 3-4 days and was asked to fill out some online forms for background checks.

The people and work culture in the office seemed relaxed and much better than those in my previous job. I had a great feeling and a sense of excitement for the new role. Even during the interview process, I never felt an exam-like environment; it was quite relaxed and informal to an extent.

Advice to other candidates: If you are a fresher or have work experience in a different domain, please be prepared for the basics of networking. That was an area where I could have performed better, but nevertheless, I managed to get through.

On the whole, it was a good experience, especially now that I have been offered the job.
