Process
There was no interview; I was already working as a consultant and was being converted to a regular employee.
I received an offer letter after my background check was completed. The salary was accepted without negotiation.
I had to submit my immigration papers afterwards, as I was still on H1B with an EAD and almost in the final stages of getting a green card. I reckon getting the green card was still on top of my mind, which kind of prevented me from negotiating the salary.
