Process
I applied for Cisco on-campus university recruitment.
The process included an online test, which comprised:
- One coding question of moderate difficulty (a graph question)
- 25 aptitude questions of moderate difficulty
I was shortlisted for the interviews, which consisted of three rounds:
- A technical round.
- A mixed technical and HR round.
- A final HR round focusing on general questions about company location preference, compensation, etc.
Questions
I was mostly asked moderate questions on Java and SQL.
They picked stuff off my resume and grilled me on the concepts I had used in my internships and projects.

Pros: Great work culture.
Helpful team and manager.
Awesome work-life balance.
Campus and facilities are world-class.
Cons: Lack of regular hikes and promotion.
The decision-making at higher leadership is too slow, and any changes take frustratingly long.
Not a good place for an undergrad or fresher who is inclined to put in time and learn as much as possible in their early years.
The work is very slow, increasing the possibility of getting into a comfort zone.
If some of the team members are in US time zones, then there might be late-night meetings every other day.

Pros: A large number of projects to work on.
Cons: Cisco has a layoff every year.
Salaries are not competitive.
It's difficult to work on newer software technologies like Linux, C++ if you're in the networking business units.
