Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Jose, California

Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Applied online.

I had a short phone interview, and they invited me to an on-site interview.

I spoke with six people there for six hours.

The questions were mostly about my background and experience, so you may need to prepare for that.

There were some technical questions, but they were not very difficult. They didn't push me to answer quickly.

One question was: "You ship a product to your customer, and they complain it does not work. How would you handle that?" This was a question that continued through interaction with the interviewer.

Questions

Typical interview questions:

  • Reverse a linked list.
  • Reverse bits in an integer (e.g., swap the 0th bit with the 31st bit).

What do you see yourself doing in the next 5 years?
