Pros: Stable job. If you joined recently as a grad, [you'll get] good pay.

Cons: Not much growth, only for people wanting a backseat in their professional lives.

Pros: The working environment is pretty relaxed and easy in the legacy and matured product BU. You don't need to work more than 6 hours a day because most of the work is pretty routine. Work remotely from home and flexible working hours are allowed. Training and connections with women in tech help you to move up fast. A great place for females and Indians. You feel like home. A lot of loyal customers and it doesn't matter how far we are behind the competitors.

Cons: Layoffs happen across the BU and take place every year. A big layoff happens every 4 years. Company hierarchy is crazy. My reporting chain is me -> manager -> director -> VP -> VP -> VP -> SVP -> EVP -> CEO. It doesn't make sense to have so many VPs. Many new products are not generating revenue. Cloud does impact the hardware business, which is Cisco's bread and butter. There are too many similar products in the company, and they are fighting with each other. Collaboration between different BUs is not working well due to politics.

Pros: Perfect example for work-life balance.

Cons: Nothing to state as such.
