Pros: My coworkers were friendly and great.

Cons: I worked at Cisco for 4 years after Cisco purchased my previous company. Cisco downranked every employee in the purchased company. The starting rank for a new employee was higher than all existing employees. Effectively, I had a new coworker fresh out of college who was a higher rank than I was, even though I was a 4-year veteran. During that time, I was denied a promotion because of a medical condition. I was sat down and told that I wouldn't get the promotion I was promised because I was hospitalized during the week promotions were handed out.

Pros: Well-structured, friendly co-workers. The compensation structure was good overall. Work was not hectic.

Cons: Worked for a first-time manager who had no experience managing people. Work responsibilities were a bit disorganized; otherwise, the manager was friendly. Upper management appeared to pass information down well.

Pros: High-quality development tools, lab environments, and debugging tools.

Cons: Since iOS is a huge codebase, most new projects involve porting a large amount of code, then modifying it to work with a new hardware platform.
