A recruiter contacted me to set up a phone screen with one of the Engineering Directors.
I had the interview via Webex, and the director was very polite and asked me several questions.
The questions were not too technical, but he was trying to find out more about whether I was a cultural fit, if I had a passion to write code, and if I was keen to work at Cisco.
Three weeks after the interview, I got the offer.
Tell me about yourself.
Tell me about your projects.
What languages are you most proficient in?
I answered Java. Then he asked me to tell him the advantages and disadvantages of using Java in a production application with regards to memory usage, speed, and so many other things.
