Process

I was approached directly by the team manager for a Kernel + Cryptography role.

After a basic chat with the manager and then HR, I had three rounds of interviews:

  • Two technical interviews focused on my previous work experience (discussing mistakes, challenges, etc.) and the two required knowledge domains: Linux kernel and cryptography.
  • One interview with the project manager, which seemed to be a general conversation to judge personality and culture fit.

Questions

  1. Describe how a Kernel module is loaded into memory.

  2. Describe the TCP handshake, relevant cryptography, and threats.

  3. Describe a wrong decision you made or a challenge you previously faced in your work experience.
