Culture is great, promotions are not so much
culture and a "family" atmosphere with great work-life balance.
It's extremely hard to get a worthy promotion. I've been in my role for almost 6 years with a pay raise of only 4% since I was hired. The only true way to get a decent raise is to find a new role internally, which is very competitive, or to leave the company and come back.
If you have an employee who doesn't seem to be a good fit in their current role, instead of stringing them along, help them find a role they could provide more value in and assist in their career direction.
