Pros

Used to work with many talented people.

Many of the seasoned professionals were allowed to leave to our competitors while we paid them a year's salary.

  • Fair compensation
  • Fair work hours with good work/life balance.
Cons

You won't get rich working at Cisco.

With most managers having 8-14 reports and raises focused on the top 25%, you won't be receiving raises on a regular basis.

Advice to Management

Grow the company by leading us into new markets where we can add real value.

Move employees to your "top priorities"; don't fire them.

Don't announce a layoff of 6,500 employees months in advance. It has completely demoralized the employees.
